Found this at Lake Leatherwood Friday 12/1/06, after the first ice storm. This pic shows the tail being dipped. There were around ten of them, mostly back in the dead Lotus stalks walking on the ice. There were also big flocks of Mallards, Coots, Green-wing Teal, Ring-necked Ducks, and a few Pied-bill Grebes, Buffleheads, and Lesser Scaup. Good day for waterfowl.
